Taking on the rebranding of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, I embraced the legacy of their existing yellow logo, channeling its academic heritage into a refreshed visual identity. Drawing inspiration from Euclid's "Elements," I crafted graphic resources that echo the geometrical precision and intellectual rigor of the work.
Retaining the original logo's color was crucial—it's a beacon of the institute's identity. I paired it with a contemporary typeface aptly named 'Euclid', reflecting the mathematical clarity and structure. To complement the vivid yellow and represent the depth of academic research, I introduced a secondary color, blue, symbolizing knowledge and reliability.
The use of the grid in the design not only aligns with mathematical precision but also introduces a dynamic and versatile structure, allowing for a multitude of design applications. From stationery to digital interfaces, this new branding harmonizes the institute's rich past with its cutting-edge present, encapsulating a spirit of discovery and enlightenment in each element of the design.
