Romero Verde
Designing the brand for Romero Verde was an exciting challenge. My vision was to create a space that resonated with the underground vibe of Madrid and paid homage to its Andalusian and Galician roots—a vegan haven where the artistic community could gather. With fanzine-style menus and a decor peppered with inclusive, witty artwork, Romero Verde became a place that married a commitment to veganism with a rich, cultural character.
The Romero Verde logo, set in a striking, dimensional font, resonates with retro flair, updated for contemporary tastes. The green theme pays tribute to the Galician influence, mirroring the verdant hues typical of their eateries, while the sprig of rosemary—a plant deeply rooted in Andalusian flora—acknowledges the heritage of the other owner and provides an aromatic hint of the culinary experience within.
Romero Verde's name itself is a tribute to the flamenco song by Lole y Manuel, interweaving the soulful notes of Andalusian music into the dining experience. The brand's narrative is an invitation: to enjoy not just the food, but the storied culture and vibrant humor that define this unique Madrid locale.
